RPZ Valve Installation and Testing
An RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) valve (Type BA back flow preventer) is used in most commercial and industrial applications requiring protection up to fluid category 4 to avoid backflow syphonage and the resulting contamination of the drinking water distribution system.
RPZ valves provide valuable protection but they must be correctly installed and regularly tested to comply with the law. In line with water regulations, it is required by law that RPZ valves are to be tested annually in order to meet your local water authority requirements. Tests must be carried out by an accredited tester. |
Champion Water Compliance Ltd is a City & Guilds qualified and WRAS accredited tester of RPZ valves and we are able to carry out testing and maintenance to all legal requirements nationwide.
It is compulsory to have an annual test if you have an RPZ valve installed on your premises.
